The general impression I have is that for the majority of us this new year has not started in the best way… for what concerns me, it has surely meant a nasty bout of flu I would certainly have done better without, that prevented me from doing many important and urgent things. Very disappointing!
But every cloud has a silver lining, hasn’t it? So I decided to employ the time I could not devote to my job, to resume some hobbies I had left behind…
Reading for example: I’ve always been a great reader, in my house there are books everywhere, but for the last couple of years I’ve been reading mainly books necessary for my job and my personal growth… now I have found the time to re-read some old novels that deserved to be taken into consideration one more time… what a pleasure!
Another passion of mine, that I was more than happy to resume, is crochet: I was taught by my granny many years ago and I must say I’m pretty good at it now! So I’ve been spending more than one evening curled up in my cosy armchair, with a warm blanket (a very appreciated – and incredibly well-timed! – Christmas present) and some balls of wool, working to a nice bag… I still have to finish it, but I’ll show you the result as soon as it’s ready!
Then, I am also devoting time to some healthy habits, such as drinking hot infusions with a bit of honey, that are excellent in my conditions… the important thing now is doing my best to MANTAIN these good habits even when I’m completely recovered! That’s one thing I’m not very good at, instead! 😀
And what about you? How has your own 2015 begun? Tell me a bit about it!
Anyway, however badly it might have started, I do wish that its continuation will be full of positivity for all of us!
